英語の勉強の仕方4~繰り返し聞いて記憶に刻み込む!~

ルールNo.3に続きルールNo.4です。

What the fuck is this?”とか英語をしゃべってしまう、それくらいに繰り返さなければなりません。

ここでもYouTube英語学習法の効果は絶大です。

面白くて何回も見てしまったお笑い番組、ハマって何周も見てしまうドラマ、ありませんか?YouTube英語学習法では、自分の好きな動画を見続ければよいのです。自分の好きな番組を見るのに、努力やストレスが必要ですか?自分の興味に従っ熱中できる人が

00:00
hi this is AJ and it's time for secret
00:05
number four rule number four for
00:07
excellent English speaking now you've
00:10
learned three powerful ones already and
00:12
just using those three it's really going
00:16
to help your English speaking I think
00:19
you're going to enjoy learning English a
00:22
lot more but as I said it's a full
00:25
system so you really need to learn all
00:27
seven so let's learn number four today
00:30
secret number four is this learn deeply
00:34
learn deeply what do I mean by that we
00:41
have this idea of of wide and shallow I
00:44
think of water for example shallow water
00:47
is like this deep water is like an ocean
00:50
very very deep so when we talking about
00:54
learning something deeply it means you
00:57
totally learn it and master it there's a
01:02
great quote from a guy named Tony
01:05
Robbins which is this repetition is the
01:08
mother of skill repetition is the mother
01:12
of skill means to be very skillful to be
01:16
very great at something you've got to
01:18
repeat it so many times well that's
01:22
basically what we're talking about here
01:24
learning something deeply totally
01:28
completely once again it's the opposite
01:32
of what happens in school in most
01:35
English classes what happens in the
01:37
normal English class the normal English
01:40
school the traditional way of learning
01:43
well you go very very very fast right
01:47
right there's a lot of pressure to keep
01:50
going learning more more more MORE right
01:53
because you have to finish the textbook
01:55
every teacher feel some pressure to
01:59
finish the textbook in the correct time
02:03
right we have to finish the textbook
02:05
this year so next year we can do the
02:08
next textbook right we got to finish
02:10
book number one we got to do it quickly
02:13
so that next year we can do book two it
02:16
would be terrible not to finish book
02:18
number one this year that's the idea
02:21
that they have and it's totally crazy
02:24
and wrong so here's what happens every
02:28
week or every two weeks you're learning
02:30
something new in your English class new
02:35
grammar for example so you learn the
02:38
past tense and then two or three weeks
02:40
later
02:41
oh now you're learning the the present
02:43
perfect and then a few weeks later now
02:45
you're learning the future that is crazy
02:49
there is no way you can master and truly
02:53
learn the past tense for example in just
02:56
a few weeks even in just a couple of
02:59
months it's not possible and then you
03:02
start adding more and more and more and
03:04
more and of course all the vocabulary
03:07
lists more and more and more every week
03:09
another huge list of words to memorize
03:13
there's all this pressure to go faster
03:15
faster faster so what happens of course
03:17
you study all this stuff for the test
03:20
you memorize it you memorize it you take
03:23
the test maybe you get a good grade
03:25
maybe you don't and then after the test
03:27
you forget a lot of it right because you
03:30
never learned it deeply you just
03:33
memorized it short term and then you
03:35
forget a lot of it or maybe you remember
03:38
it but you can't use it I know you know
03:43
the past tense I know you've studied it
03:46
but do you always use it correctly if
03:49
the answer is no if you still make
03:52
mistakes it's because you never learned
03:54
the past tense deeply now I have no
03:59
problem with the past tense is it
04:01
because I'm a genius no of course it's
04:03
because I learned English as a small
04:05
child and I mastered the past tense how
04:09
did I do it how did I learn it so deeply
04:10
through lots of repetition my parents
04:14
did not try to teach me the present
04:16
perfect or the future progressive or
04:18
something when I was very small no I
04:22
heard the past tense again and again and
04:24
again every single day
04:26
a hundreds of times a day thousands of
04:29
times a day until the past tense was so
04:34
deep in my mind I didn't need to think
04:38
about it anymore and I don't need to
04:41
think about it it's totally automatic
04:43
that is deep learning that's what you
04:48
need you need to slow down and totally
04:52
learn what you are studying what you are
04:55
listening to you need to completely
04:58
master it to know it deep inside not
05:02
just know it in you know in your brain
05:04
it's the same with vocabulary you might
05:08
know a word like if I ask you the
05:10
meaning you can tell me the meaning but
05:13
can you use it instantly in a
05:16
conversation a real conversation if I
05:19
say it in a conversation do you
05:21
instantly and automatically understand
05:24
it completely if not you have not
05:28
learned it deeply now you're beginning
05:32
to understand why you are having
05:34
problems with English speaking you may
05:37
think you know a lot of grammar and
05:39
vocabulary but most of it you do not
05:44
know deeply it's not automatic you have
05:48
to think about it so you have to change
05:51
the way you learn once again this is
05:53
another secret another rule something
05:55
else you need to change about the way
05:57
you are learning English now the most
06:00
basic way to do this is to do the
06:03
opposite of school so instead of
06:05
hurrying instead of trying to go fast
06:07
and new chapter all the time I want you
06:10
to do the opposite I want you to go
06:11
slowly for example when you buy our
06:16
lessons I will tell you that each lesson
06:21
set a lesson set has maybe four or five
06:24
connected lessons they about the same
06:27
topic I will tell you that you must
06:29
study that one lesson set at least ten
06:34
days to two weeks
06:39
maybe even more maybe three weeks maybe
06:42
one full month for a lesson set why
06:47
because I want you to repeat that lesson
06:49
every single day of course you're
06:51
listening with your ears so what you're
06:53
going to do is you're going to listen to
06:55
each of those lessons it's about an hour
06:58
total every day you'll listen to those
07:01
maybe once maybe twice a day the next
07:06
day you'll listen to those same audios
07:08
again and the next day the same audios
07:10
again and the next day the same audios
07:13
again for 10 days 14 days 21 days more
07:17
if necessary
07:18
it's not a race don't need to hurry know
07:24
what I want you to do is to totally
07:26
completely learn it know it deeply
07:29
automatically and of course the way we
07:33
design our lessons there's also a lot of
07:36
repetition in the lessons so let's say
07:38
there are four or five different audios
07:40
in that set each of those audios is
07:44
using some of the same vocabulary a lot
07:47
of the same grammar so you hear it in
07:50
one situation then you hear it in
07:53
another audio article then you hear it
07:55
in a kind of funny crazy story then you
07:57
hear it in another situation so you're
07:59
hearing the same thing but in different
08:00
situations so it's not boring
08:02
it's still interesting but you're
08:04
getting that repetition so you will
08:06
start to learn the vocabulary and the
08:09
grammar much more deeply that's how our
08:14
system is designed it's very very
08:18
important so here's the thing you have
08:25
to do a lot of repeating focus on
08:28
repeating a lot and doing a smaller
08:31
amount of material so instead of reading
08:34
20 books read one book but read it
08:37
slowly and well or a better example is
08:39
audio instead of listening to 50 audios
08:43
and watching 20 movies pick three audios
08:47
and listen to them every single day the
08:49
same audios
08:51
for seven days 14 days 20 days whatever
08:55
lots and lots and lots of repetition
08:57
then the phrases will go into your mind
09:00
deeply the grammar will start getting in
09:03
there you don't need to think about it
09:04
it happens automatically the new
09:06
vocabulary if it's easy the new
09:08
vocabulary it gets in there all of these
09:11
things go deeper deeper deeper each time
09:13
you listen until it becomes automatic
09:16
you don't need to translate you don't
09:19
need to think about it it will pop out
09:21
of your mouth that is the power of deep
09:26
learning and it never stops it never
09:29
stops I'm still hearing every single day
09:34
the past tense in English its own away
09:38
right I'm getting more repetition it
09:39
never stops I'll never stop as long as
09:41
I'm alive it's never ending
09:44
it's the same for you you never stop but
09:46
you listen to fun and interesting things
09:48
so the repetition is fun and interesting
09:50
if you're focusing on textbooks and
09:52
schools and grammar uh of course
09:54
repetitions difficult because it's
09:56
painfully boring but with our lessons
10:00
for example you're listening to funny
10:01
crazy interesting stuff so it's easy to
10:03
repeat it seven days or 14 days or 20
10:06
days it's not a problem and you can go
10:09
out you can find other interesting
10:10
audios and do the same thing so here it
10:13
is secret number four rule number four
10:15
very very important learn deeply
10:20
repetition is the mother of skill learn
10:23
deeply alright I will see you tomorrow
10:27
for secret number five have a great day
10:32
bye bye
