00:30
and we're back my name's mark vinz and i
00:36
hope you're excited as I am for another
00:38
blue wilderness adventure on this dive
00:40
Mario and I will be trying something a
00:43
little bit different today we're going
00:45
to challenge ourselves to see just how
00:47
many creatures we can spot on a single
00:49
dot sure some of our adventures require
00:51
multiple dives and even days to get the
00:54
footage Raptor but one thing that draws
00:56
me to the ocean is just how much can be
00:58
seen each and every time we're
01:00
underwater in many ways the core of
01:04
ocean exploration is the infinite
01:06
potential to witness the unexpected and
01:09
today my goal is to show you just what I
01:12
mean right now we're off the coast of
01:15
Bimini and a dive site called the El
01:17
Dorado shoal we only have one take Mario
01:19
so we got to make this count you ready
01:21
all right let's get in the water and see
01:24
what we can find all right okay that's
01:32
better
01:32
Wow the water is really clear today okay
01:37
let's go see what we can find first
01:39
let's check over here
01:40
I already see some reef fish
01:45
and nice there's a wow that is a queen
01:49
angelfish definitely a stand out of the
01:51 群れで暮らす動物
crowd species
01:58
okay yeah here we go
02:00
that is a spiny lobster and two of them
02:04
now they don't have claws like true
02:07
lobsters but get this they can navigate
02:09
at night using the Earth's magnetic
02:12
field like a compass and that's pretty
02:14 私に尋ねるなら(=私からしたら)
cool if you ask me
02:16
alright let's cover some more ground hey
02:19
Mario let's head this way oh okay got
02:26
our first shark here
02:28
that's a nurse shark which are usually
02:31
non aggressive so let's see how close we
02:33
can get come on come on back sometimes I
02:39
feel like if I put out a positive vibe
02:40
for an animal to approach it tends to
02:43
happen well that's it I guess first
02:52
shark in the books anyway so this whole
02:56
area is surrounded by these crater like
02:58
depressions lined with reef let's go
03:01
investigate one to see we can find right
03:03
on the edge Oh check this out hello
03:10
hello coyote
03:13
okay Mario it's for you oh well short
03:24
call I guess that was coyote I never
03:26
know where he is anymore okay let's try
03:29
this one I spy some razor-sharp teeth in
03:37
the mouth of that merica
03:39
but luckily for us they rarely attack
03:41
divers see you later okay now it's a
03:47
good time to check our air looks like I
03:50
have just over 2,200 pounds Mario plenty
03:54
left how about you okay awesome I'm good
04:01
to go okay let's go scan for something
04:03
interesting about this
04:07
and that is cool-looking whoa okay now
04:12
this is great do you see it that is a
04:17
yellow stingray and yes they do have a
04:21
venomous barb so we need to be careful
04:23
here
04:25
and look there's another one oh this
04:30
one's on the move let's try to follow it
04:31
oh that is so awesome look at how they
04:36
can glide and then come to a complete
04:38
stop almost instantly although this is a
04:42
smaller species of stingray they are
04:44
still one of the most interesting
04:45
animals to come across because their
04:46
skeletons like sharks are not made of
04:48
bone but actually cartilage well got a
04:52
great shot there Mario haha got that one
04:56
swimming off perfect boom well we've
05:01
seen a lot of creatures already this
05:03
shoal is really home to an abundance of
05:05
marine species plus let's be honest it's
05:09
quite breathtaking alright we've got
05:14
another great angelfish here we see one
05:17
of these let's look for something else
05:20
let's go check over here I've got a good
05:22
feeling about this outcrop
05:25
oh look at that have a nice school of
05:30
Atlantic pork fish passing by not sure
05:32
why they're called poor knish but that's
05:34
their name oh there's a cave this is
05:38
worth a look look at how colorful the
05:42
reef gets when you're out of the direct
05:44
sunlight way less blue and look you can
05:47
see right through it too don't think I
05:50
can fit through there though
05:55
we're surrounded let's just stay calm
06:01
there about 50 or so Barracuda all
06:04
around us the best thing to do right now
06:07
is just to stay put like I said before
06:10
Barracuda rarely attack divers
06:12
unprovoked they're known for being
06:14
aggressive for sure one of the fastest
06:16
predators out here the reef system but
06:18
the good news is they only seek fast in
06:21
distress and prey which we are
06:24
definitely not ready but being
06:28
surrounded by this many razor-sharp
06:29
teeth certainly gets my heart racing
06:33
looks like Mario's doing a great job of
06:36
staying calm as well get that shot buddy
06:42
okay by the looks of things it accepted
06:44
that we're not food so let's carefully
06:46
proceed there they go
06:56
Wow I did not expect that to happen
06:59
today that is a first for me how about
07:02
that for some excitement on a single
07:04
tank top cannon all right time to head
07:08
back to the boat Mahan what a great way
07:18
to end the trip El Dorado shoal was
07:21
incredible we saw everything from yellow
07:22
stingrays to spiny lobsters at one point
07:25
we were completely surrounded by
07:26
barracuda and we even had a close
07:29
encounter with the nurse shark if you
07:30
guys like these videos make sure to tell
07:32
us in the comments section below where
07:34

07:39

07:45

07:47
